JEWEL'S DEMETRIUS

Oberon has grown into a stunning herdsire. As a juvenile his fiber looked great, as evidenced by his 2005 awards. The color champion regularly came from his class. As a yearling, his presence became just as impressive as his fiber and conformation. He is out of our AOBA 2000 Reserve Color Champion bay black female and our own Highland Lochinvar. Lochinvar (out of Snowbelt's 5P Capuccino) has placed in over 10 classes of the best white males in the country, including a blue ribbon at MAPACA. Not bad for a guy out of a brown sire! Our goal in breeding to Lochinvar is to improve the fiber of the dam without sacrificing her color. I believe we have achieved this in Oberon. His light brown fleece is dense, bundled, and crimpy from tail to topknot. Judges really can't say enough nice things about his presence, conformation, and fiber. His most recent 1st place AND RESERVE COLOR CHAMPION award at the 2007 North Carolina Celebration was as affirmation that he continues to be judged as one of the top three light brown boys on the East Coast! With his strong color background, we expected him to be able to throw black and improve the fiber of dark females. With his first two cria he has certainly met our expectations. He produced a medium brown out of a white and a bay black out of a bay black. Here's an excellent opportunity to put the genetics and fiber qualities of top-of-the-line male into your herd....at a great price. Take advantage of our mobile breeding service. Enjoy your cria on your own farm while we bring one of our males to your dam. Service is available within 150 miles of our farm.

WOW: Highland Oberon is now the AOBA Blue Ribbon winner for 2006 in the light brown class! Judge Jude Anderson called him the "total package" for conformation, head style, fineness of fiber, coverage, and crimp. We knew this guy was getting better, but boy were we smiling after this class!!
